I recently had a friend send me another one of her
poems. Below enjoy "This Road Of Life"
As I travel This Road Of Life
I can now see the sunset up ahead,
and even though I’ve passed the ”threescore
and ten”, it’s not something I dread!
No, my life hasn’t always been
a bowl of peaches and cream,
...nor has it fulfilled all my
once hoped for dreams...
But it has been... without
doubt... worth the journey!
...The mountaintops have...by
far...outnumbered the valleys!
So here I am, still in the process of becoming
the one The Lord has called me to be,
while living each day with the hope
that tomorrow will be a good one for me.
Yes, the Sunset is now on my horizon...
nevertheless, I still have “work” to do!
No, I don’t know exactly what that work will be,
but I intend to get it done before my life is through!
So I pray The Lord will help me to live in such a way
that my reason for being here will be fulfilled.
And, Lord, help me to always and forever
seek...then to do...Your perfect will.

Sheriff's Office.
